ANDREA BOURGEOIS

ANDREA BOURGEOIS

Director

My time at Northminster Day School began in 2007. After six years of teaching a 3s class and two years teaching Kindergarten, I was thrilled to fill the role of director of this wonderful school!

I graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education in 1992 and have worked in various education roles over the years– from preschool, Kindergarten, and 3rd grade in the public and private school systems to many years working with preschoolers and elementary age children at The Dunwoody Nature Center. The children continue to fuel my passion for the most rewarding job in the world!

I’m married with three children who all attended NDS and who continue to return in the summer as camp teachers. This school is so very special to all of us. I am blessed to have met so many wonderful families through NDS and to work with creative and dedicated teachers who make our preschool a warm and loving environment for our children to grow and learn.

JENNIFER BUNNELL

JENNIFER BUNNELL

Office Manager

Since 2018, I’ve been in the NDS office, where I do a little bit of everything. I also assist Andrea helping to keep things organized and running smoothly. If you have a question, chances are I either know the answer—or I’ll find it for you. 🙂

My passion for working with kids started in the classroom, where I spent 17 years. I definitely miss being with the kids all day, but in my current role, I still get to greet them every morning and see them throughout the day. It really is the best of both worlds!

I’m originally from Madison, Wisconsin (Go Pack Go!) and have been married for over 30 years. I’m a proud mom to two amazing daughters.

KATE DALEY

KATE DALEY

Bookkeeper/ Accountant

I have been part of  the NDS team since 2024 by helping with the bookkeeping. One of my sons attended NDS, and my daughter is currently enrolled. Our whole family loved and enjoyed the experience! It has been fun moving from full-time mom position to being able to work and spend time with adults again.

ALI NABORS

ALI NABORS

I graduated from Baylor University in 2015 and have spent the last ten years working in a variety of early childhood roles—from kindergarten lead to PK1–3rd grade STEAM enrichment to serving as a director of student programming. I’m part of the NDS family as the 5-day 3s teacher. I truly believe these preschool years are filled with wonder, joy, and so much growth! I love watching little minds explore and discover.

After college, I moved to Houston, TX, where I met my husband—who, fun fact, grew up just around the corner from NDS! We moved to Roswell in 2020 and have never looked back.

As a mom of three, I understand how important it is for little ones to feel safe, loved, and excited to learn each day. When I’m not in the classroom, you’ll usually find me running half marathons (a.k.a. training to keep up with my kids!), crafting, reading, or hiking with my husband, our children, and our golden retriever—who’s convinced he’s the fourth baby.

I have been teaching at NDS since 2017. My 1st year I spent substituting in all the classes and fell in love with the school. I happily accepted a position in the 2s class the following year. I have worked with kids of all ages since I was 13, have a degree in Early Education, and have taught children from 2- to 5-years-old. I took time off to stay at home with my children until they were in elementary school. During this time I nannied infants and toddlers.

I am originally from Massachusetts and moved to Roswell in 2016 with my husband, and our 2 children. I love watching children learn and grow and I really enjoy being part of the Northminster team!

Hello! I am so excited to be the NDS MUSIC TEACHER! I am married and have 3 children who all attended NDS! I grew up in St. Louis, MO, and have a degree in French and International Relations. Prior to my position at NDS, I taught music, dance, and English language acquisition in France for 3 years. After returning to the USA, I taught music, tap, and French language at a Pre-K-8 school, The Forsyth School, in St. Louis, MO. For the last several years, I have been serving as President of the PTO Board at my children’s school, The International Charter School of Atlanta, as well as French tutoring and substitute teaching. I am really looking forward to having my own classroom this year and teaching all of your beautiful children. We are going to have lots of fun!!!

Teaching is a passion of mine. A native New Yorker (I grew up in Huntington, Long Island), I earned my bachelor’s degree at Michigan State University and then went on to get a masters in Elementary Education at Fordham University. After teaching kindergarten for 6 years in Bucks County, PA, my husband and I moved to Alpharetta in 2001. We are proud parents of two daughters who are now all grown up. I had the privilege of teaching the 4-year-old class at NDS while my girls attended preschool here themselves (2004-2007). Once they moved on to elementary school, I began teaching at Northwood ES. I returned to NDS to teach kindergarten in 2018, and I look forward to creating a warm and fun learning environment that promotes discovery and fosters friendships for your children!

I’m so excited to be teaching at Northminster in the 3-day 3s classroom.  I am originally from Chicago where I taught pre-school for three years.  Prior to that, I taught both kindergarten and second grade. My husband, our two daughters, and I moved to Atlanta a few years ago and are so happy to be living here. I can’t wait to be back in the classroom at such a wonderful, caring school.  I fell in love with Northminster subbing and am excited to work with the nicest co-workers and the sweetest families.

I graduated from Mercer University with a degree in Early Childhood Education and received my Masters in Educational Instructional Technology.

I’m originally from Macon, Georgia, and moved to Alpharetta 20 years ago when my husband, Mark and I married. We are parents to two teens who keep us busy with their sports and activities. I’m looking forward to a fun year and I’m so happy to be teaching Kindergarten again.

I am from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and have been living in Georgia since my junior year of high school. I graduated from The University of Georgia (where I met my husband), and now we live in Roswell with our two children, three cats, and one dog. I taught preschool for many years, and it’s truly my favorite age group. I love teaching Spanish, because I get to share my culture and language in a fun, immersive, silly and interactive manner. The amazing work environment at NDS, along with its fantastic staff, and sweet children make it a joy to teach.

JO ARSLAN

I have been at NDS since 2016. I am originally from Michigan but have lived in Georgia for many years. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education from KSU. I taught at Roswell North Elementary for ten years until the birth of my son. I was a stay-at-home mom of three children and volunteered at Northwood Elementary often. I became acquainted with NDS while babysitting for an NDS student. I was very impressed with the day school and wanted to join this great group of educators. I am so excited to be working with the little ones in the 18-23 month PMO class again. Children this age bring so much joy to my days.

KAREN BERRY

KAREN BERRY

I love being a part of the NDS team!  I was born and raised and educated in Georgia (go DAWGS!).  I earned both my BS and MS in Microbiology and worked in public health at the CDC.  Once my husband and I started our family, I took a break from work to stay home with the kids. Throughout their school years, I was an active volunteer with the PTA– organizing book clubs, field days, and science enrichment activities at Dolvin Elementary. I learned that I love working with kids of all ages.

For the last several years, I have been working with preschool age kids in a day care setting, tutoring teenagers in high school biology and volunteering as a North Fulton Master Gardener to facilitate STEAM field trips. Most of my free time is spent outside biking or hiking with my family.  I am so looking forward to meeting my new 18-23 month-old friends!

KATIE MULLIGAN

The warm and nurturing environment first brought me to NDS as a parent and then several years later as a teacher. I have been blessed with teaching at NDS since 2015 and have loved working with the curious three- and four-year-olds. The cheerful staff and happy children make NDS a joyful place to be a part of every day!

I am originally from Michigan and received my elementary education degree from Michigan State University. I taught in the Cobb County Schools for 6 years prior to raising my family. I cherish my years at home with my 3 children (now grown), volunteering, and being their #1 fan. My husband and I enjoy all things sports and traveling.

Georgia has been home since 2002 and where my husband and I started a new journey together. We have been blessed with 15+ years of marriage, two amazing sons, and our furry friend Gunner. We love spending time together at the baseball field, tennis courts, and traveling. In my spare time, I enjoy playing tennis and working out. I am excited to join NDS where my sons grew and learned. After they left, I really wanted to remain part of the community. I have been substituting in classes and discovered my passion for teaching. I am thrilled to assist in the 2s class and to create a nurturing environment that inspires joy, curiosity, and learning. I look forward to meeting you and having a great school year!

LAURA GRABOW

LAURA GRABOW

For over 20 years, I have worked with preschool children. I have held positions as a lead teacher, assistant, and even, co-director.  My favorite place is in the classroom! I attended Vanderbilt University, transferred and graduated with a B.S. in Child Development from the University of Georgia. After graduation, I was sidetracked into the corporate world but decided to go back to my original passion, children. My belief is that children are active learners and that through exploration and discovery, children learn from the world around them. It is our job to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children to develop a life-long love of learning.

My family currently lives in Johns Creek. My husband, David, and I have 2 children. If I could keep them little preschoolers forever, I would. As a family, we enjoy traveling, golfing, skiing, and of course, following the Georgia Bulldogs!

I am thrilled to be a part of the NDS team as a PMO 18-23 month teacher! This school is near and dear to my heart– my three children attended NDS for their preschool years! I loved this sweet place so much I came back to sub in different classes throughout the years.

I grew up in California and earned my B.A. in Early Childhood Education at San Jose Sate University and taught Kindergarten and 1st grade at a private Christian school in California. In 2006, I moved to the Atlanta area where I taught 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade para-pro, and 5th grade at private Christian schools. I met and married my husband of 15 years and stayed at home for 10 years. Our three kids (teens/tweens) keep us busy with sports and orchestra events.

I have always loved working with children and seeing their eyes light up as they become excited to learn something new! I can’t wait to love, nurture, and teach our new sweet class this year!

After teaching 3rd grade in Fulton County for several years, I stayed home to raise my twin girls. I taught at Northminster when my girls were in the 4s class. All of us have many wonderful memories of their time at NDS. Now, my girls are starting college, and I am grateful to be teaching at Northminster once again. It is such a special and welcoming school. I love reading and learning about the world around me. I look forward to working with your children this year!

I am so excited to be joining the Northminster Day School family this year as a 3s assistant teacher. I was born and raised in Peachtree Corners, Georgia, and studied Marketing at UGA. I married my high school sweetheart and have three wonderful children and two dogs. In my spare time, I love reading, traveling, and taking my children to all their activities.

I have a deep love for Northminster Day School because all three of my children went through and thrived at the school. NDS has been in my life for the past 8 years, and it is such a special place. I spent the past 2 years as a parent representative on the Day School board, and the past 5 years as a substitute teacher. I am so excited for the upcoming school year and being able to watch the children learn and grow.

I have been teaching 3s classes at NDS since the fall of 2013. After receiving my degree from New York University in Early Childhood/Elementary Education, I moved to Seattle, where my love for teaching preschool developed. Through teaching at Head Start, at GA Pre-K, and now here at NDS, sharing my favorite silly songs, finger plays, and books with the kids brings me great joy.

Besides being a teacher, I am a wife and mother to three wonderful children. In my free time, you can find me working out at Burn, chasing down balls on the tennis court, or enjoying a cup of coffee and reading a book.

RACHEL RICHTER

My journey with NDS started in 2019, when my triplet sons were in the Caterpillar Class. After watching my sons grow and learn in such a loving and nurturing environment, this school has always had a place in my heart. I started substituting in classes last year and was thrilled to be offered a position as an assistant in the 2s class.

Prior to working at NDS, I was a broadcast journalist– reading the news on the radio– before becoming a stay-at-home mom when my sons were born.

Originally from England, I moved to the USA with my husband in 2013, and we love life in Roswell. When I’m not at a baseball field, a swim meet or at taekwondo, I’m usually out running, training for half marathons and, when I’m feeling brave, marathons! I also love reading, traveling, exploring new places and being outside in nature with my family.

I’m excited for the chance to join the amazing team at Northminster Community as a teacher for 2s along with showing the kids a thing or two in Spanish class. I was born in Puebla, Mexico, and raised in Roswell, GA. I am still a local here with my husband, daughter, and newborn son. I have always had a passion for helping people but loved working specifically with children. I have worked with newborns to pre-K students. I enjoy working with those age groups, because I get to see their cute personalities come out, to see them learn, and to grow quickly. I can’t wait to meet everyone and began an amazing journey with my team and classroom at NDS!

I am thrilled to be at Northminster Day School teaching the 4-day 4s class. I previously taught in Fulton County– teaching deaf and hard of hearing students. I decided to leave my job to raise my babies but didn’t want to leave education completely. So, during that time, I taught preschool for a few years as well as being a substitute teacher for a several years in Forsyth County. Those babies are now grown, and I am ready to get back to teaching in a classroom. My son is studying at Auburn University, and my daughter is a North Forsyth High School student. My husband and I met at The University of Tennessee in Knoxville, have been married 23 years and live in Cumming. I am looking forward to a fantastic school year!
