Congregational Care

Rev. Shawn Thomas “ST” Smith, Senior Pastor, is available to support the congregation’s pastoral care concerns. During office hours, he can be reached by calling the church office at 770-998-1482. Voicemail is available for emergencies, and your call will be returned as soon as possible.

Prayer

The congregation of Northminster Presbyterian believes in the power of prayer. Northminster offers a prayer vine to share prayer requests with the congregation. This information is published several times a week through emails and in the Cares and Concerns list included in the Sunday worship bulletin. If you have a prayer request, please click on the Make A Prayer Request button above. The Memorial Garden in the northwest corner of the church also offers a wonderful place for prayer and reflection, as well as remembering a loved one through the placing of a memorial brick. Homebound Visits

Members of Northminster and the pastoral staff regularly visit members who are confined to home or to a facility such as a nursing or assisted living home. If you know anyone who would desire a visit, please contact Shawn Thomas “ST” at 770-998-1482 or email him by clicking on the Contact the Senior Pastor button above.

Hospital Visits

The pastoral staff extends compassion and prayer to those hospitalized through visitation if possible and phone contact in the area’s hospitals. Most hospitals still have restrictive visitation policies, but our pastoral staff will make hospital visits as hospitals’ policies allow. If you or a family member are in the hospital, please inform Shawn Thomas “ST” of your condition, the hospital, and room number at 770-998-1482 or email by clicking on the Contact the Senior Pastor button above.

Bereavement

It hurts to lose someone. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone. We will help you find a  friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences.
