Northminster Kids

The Children’s Ministries’ Mission:
To teach and nurture children to grow in their faith in God.
Core values:
-
- INCLUSIVE AND ACCEPTING: Strive to see our children and youth through the eyes of God, foster a welcoming atmosphere and embrace the individuality and uniqueness of all children of God.
- LOVING: Create an environment where children and youth know the love of God and share that love with others.
- SPIRITUALLY ENGAGING: Engage the children and youth to grow in their relationships with God, friends, and family.

Nursery
Northminster provides nursery services for infants through preschoolers so that adult caregivers can participate in the church services and church activities. Nursery care is available for all regular service times and other events as scheduled. The nursery is staffed with experienced childcare workers who provide a loving, caring environment. A brief lesson is provided each week and adult caregivers are provided additional resources to use at home.
Sunday School
For 3-year-olds through 5th graders, Sunday School meets every Sunday at 9:30 am.
For children, Northminster uses a team approach to teaching Sunday School. Our curriculum, Follow Me: Biblical Practices for Faithful Living, uses music, art, science, movement, and cooking to explore God’s Word! We will explore a Biblical Practice for about 4-6 weeks as a church. We incorporate mission projects and gather for intergenerational Sunday School regularly.
Prayground
We invite children to use this space to worship God during our service. You will find children’s Bibles, coloring sheets, and various activities to help our children engage in worship. An adult facilitator will sit in this space during this time to help these children. We also invite parents and grandparents to sit near this space to help each child participate in worship.
You can pick-up a coloring sheet or sermon notes at church from the worship bag cart!
