Activities

Here are several opportunities to hang out and to exercise with other NPC folks. If you have questions about one of these activities or are interested in another activity please let us know.

Join NPC’s Two by Two Walk/Run Club on Saturday mornings!

Please join us as we walk or run various routes/distances as a group. We gather for some scripture prior to our walk/run and meet back up at the end for a prayer.

When: Saturday mornings
Time: 8:00-9:00am
Where: Newtown Park in the first parking lot on your right when entering the park from Old Alabama Road

Supper Clubs

Supper Club is one of Northminster’s small group opportunities. Each group consists of 8 church members and meets once a month for supper.

Everything about each supper night is decided by each groups’ members. Most clubs are for adults, but we do have one that includes families this year.

You can sign up to take part in a Supper Club in December 2024.

Par 3 Golf

Both golf and the Presbyterian church began their storied pasts in Scotland, and fellowship only strengthens the bond among participants of both these groups. We have a substantial number of golfers within our congregation. In the Spring and Fall, there is a par 3 course group that plays one morning a week– weather permitting– at River Pines Par 3 course, which is 10 minutes from NPC. The day of the week is selected via feedback from the group. If you’re interested in sharing your love for golf and some hearty fellowship, we’d love to hear from you.

Also, every Spring there is a golf trip to a destination no more than 3+\-hours away for a weekend full of golf and good times. This weekend usually entails 6 rounds of golf from Thursday-Sunday, and the cost is usually around $800 for meals, lodging and golf. Reservations are taken in January/February.

Yoga

Everyone is welcome to attend this class, which is for all levels of yoga practitioners from beginners to advanced.

No mat? No problem! We have a cabinet of extra mats and props to share. Wear comfortable clothes for movement and bring a mat.
