Virtual Worship Services Through June 30

Good afternoon,

I hope you all are doing well. Please know your staff is praying for you and doing what we can to minister effectively in this most interesting season.  We remain grateful to our Deacons, Elders, and all those who are either formally or informally working to keep this community connected in this time.  So far, we have had plenty of people who have offered help, and for that we are grateful.  If you have a need, please let a member of staff know, and we will do our best to assist you.

Session has been checking in weekly and, following the guidance of Presbytery, has made the decision to continue the cancelation of in-person gatherings through the end of June.  The possibility of extending that date certainly exists, as Presbytery staff is working remotely through the end of July. You can read specific guidance from Presbytery HERE.  I encourage you to read the article in the link; we have some very talented people in our presbytery dedicating a lot of time to reimagining what church will look like when we can gather again.

We know there will be plenty of work to be done before we can gather, and that work is starting.  I would love to tell you exactly when that time will be.  However, we don’t feel we can be together in the building until we can be together in the building safely.

“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1

I do not know exactly what we are to take away from this season.  Perhaps we won’t know until we walk into the next.  Know this: we walk through it together.

Peace,

Patrick Day

Senior Pastor
