AN INVITATION FOR YOU…
My Surprise Journey … and perhaps yours, too?
I’d not been active in PW for many years. Lots of reasons…. I had other interests, I’d needed to go back to work but most of all, I had mixed feelings about my spiritual direction. Last year I surprised myself by agreeing to become a part of the CT (coordinating team), and, even with the limited number of meetings, I’ve been able to attend I’ve learned a few lessons:
- I remember now how deep and dear is the fellowship of women.
- Even when I’m not ‘in love’ with the way portion of the Bible is being approached I walk away with some nugget that I’d not previously considered.
- I’m surprised by how good it feels to belong again, and to be making a difference in the work that the women of our church do.
As Rev. Dr. Fahed Abu-Akel said in his sermon on Sunday 2/10, “The early church was built on the backs of women.” And he is right.
Please join us. BE one of those women.
We are looking for you who want to be a part of what the women of Northminster and the worldwide Presbyterian church is accomplishing. In doing so, we improve our church and the world. We are the hands and feet of Christ here. Several CT positions are open for the 2019 – 2021 calendar (Moderator Elect, Fellowship, Spiritual Growth, Missions, Ruth Circle leader, and Communications) and for the 2019-2020 calendar (Circle Bible Leaders).
Warmly, Your Search Moderator: Guina (404-307-0440; [email protected])
