PW News for January 2019

Happy New Year, Presbyterian Women!

For many of us, the New Year is a time to reflect on the past and to resolve to make changes in our lives.

Each year, I create a list of resolutions, and it’s often a matter of days before I fail. But it’s no wonder… God has not been present in my resolutions. This year, instead of resolutions, I will use prayer.

Blessings,

Nicole Adams

More Fellowship

Please join Presbyterian Women on our annual spring retreat at The Dillard House in the beautiful mountains of northeast Georgia on March 22-24.

Relax with friends, fellowship around the table, and experience “Aha!” moments as we learn how to “read” art and see how artists “illuminate” biblical narratives. Led by our own Linda Morningstar, you will find out what to look at when you view a painting, so you can hear what the artist is saying. We’ll read familiar Bible stories and then look at how – over the years –  various artists’ portrayals have brought to the fore differing opinions for us to examine.

Retreat brochures will be available in the Fireside Room at January Circles, and online registration will begin mid January.
