Future NDS Students

The mission of Northminster Day School is to provide individualized, Christian based, learning while enriching the whole child. We focus on language development through experiences and special events that help build the child’s academic and social foundation to create confident, lifelong learners.

Our Parent’s Morning Out (PMO) program gently introduces the children to the school setting. The curriculum is comprised of social/emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Each day will consist of creative play, stories, music, and gross-/fine-motor activities.

The 2-year-old program (2s) uses theme-based learning to spark your child’s curiosity– as well as build their vocabulary– in a variety of activities, including weekly art and music classes. These classes concentrate on socialization skills, language development, and gross-/fine-motor skills.

The 3-year-old program (3s) teaches pre-reading, writing, and motor skills. It encourages social and emotional development and strives to enhance positive behavior, including communicating, cooperating, negotiating, and being kind. Also, the classes will attend chapel and music weekly.

The 4-year-old program (4s or Pre-K) teaches literacy, math, language, Spanish, science, and social studies activities; providing the children with a strong academic and social foundation for Kindergarten. We focus on building a love of learning and positive sense of self through daily activities, weekly chapel, and special monthly events.

Our Kindergarten program (K) promotes academic growth while allowing children to gain self-confidence and social skills through hands-on experiences and a developmentally-appropriate learning environment. Kindergartners will attend chapel once a week. This unique program uses the McGraw Hill’s “Wonders” program, which focuses on teaching the whole child and prepares students to be lifelong learners and critical thinkers.
