Dear NDS families,
Hope this finds you all safe, healthy, and settling in to this temporary way of life. Once again, I’m in a quiet school, wishing you all were here!
Many of you have heard that Governor Kemp has issued a statewide shelter-in-place order, and closed all public schools for the remainder of the school year. NDS will follow the recommendation, and do what is best to help control the spread of this disease, and close for the school year as well. The good news is that our teachers will continue to stay connected through our ‘At Home Learning’. Hopefully, this way of communicating will be helpful to you and your family through the end of the school year.
With the additional school closures, we will not collect May tuition. Additionally, you will be refunded early drop off and late stay payments for April. Also, no autopay will run this month.
Because this situation has financially affected us differently, we’ve created a document which gives you options for your reimbursement. While we are planning to use our ‘reserve funds’ for April and May expenses, we are grateful for the additional support from many of you. Typically, our reserves are used for playground equipment and renovations, classroom improvements, etc. The potential to save some of our reserve funds would be a gift to our school. While we find our way together through different daily activities, I’m hopeful that we’re finding blessings through it all!
Happy Spring Break!
