NPC Gift Sees Big Results for Buenos Vecinos

In a Minute for Mission in May, Pastor Jan Hunt introduced us to the amazing work done by Ellen Finn and the Buenos Vecinos group first in Honduras and now in Guatemala. Through an anonymous gift from NPC members, Buenos Vecinos has recently finished construction of a clinic in El Rancho. It will provide a home base for their traveling nurse, a site for future medical brigades, and a safe place for women to deliver their babies. The anonymous gift also provided money for 200 desks and chairs at 5 different schools. The teachers and students are so excited! As a part of the Buenos Vecinos approach, the communities worked extremely hard with their own sweat equity alongside the financial gift from the NPC donors. These projects represent a great deal of community pride and will improve the quality of life for generations to come.
