Stewardship Campaign: Our Common Blessing

Give liberally and be ungrudging when you do so,

for on this account the Lord God will

bless you in all your work and in all that you undertake.

Deut. 15:10

Dear Northminster Family ~

Our Common Blessing. This has been a year unlike any other I have ever experienced, and yet God has continued to bless this congregation and all whom we touch through your generosity. We have done our best to stay connected during this pandemic. I cannot begin to tell you how I grateful I am for your continued support of the ministries here. You have offered yourselves through worship, continued mission, and financial giving. Through the gifts and dedication of people in this congregation, we are able to both care for those in our own community and continue to touch the lives of those beyond. I remain so grateful for the ways you have helped support the ministries here and change people’s lives, whether through the people we help outside these doors or supporting the needs of those in our own pews. Thank you for all you do here.

On the form below, you can view the Financial Commitment Form. I am asking you to financially commit to the ministries of Northminster in 2021, and I pray that we can count on your support. Regardless of the amount, making a commitment offers you the opportunity to more deeply invest in the ministries at Northminster, and that commitment enables the church to more accurately budget for its ministries.

In recent years, we would also send you a Time and Talent Form to complete and return as part of this initiative. We will follow up with that piece at a later date. We now have two campuses, an on-line campus and an in-person campus. Once we are able to gather in person again, we will still need to maintain the on-line presence in order to connect with those who are not able to come back and those whom we just began reaching during this pandemic. This dual presence offers a wealth of opportunities to give of your time and talent. From helping usher in person to helping post videos on-line, we are not “going back,” but moving forward into a new phase of ministry at NPC. It is our hope that you will   commit to one activity that feeds your own soul and one activity that directly helps someone else.

Join us on October 25th at 10:30 am for a BYOB (Bring Your Own BRUNCH) presentation on Zoom and conversation about gratitude and giving. We will conclude at 11:00 am and gather back together for worship at 11:15. We will then dedicate our financial commitments during worship, so be on the lookout for a special time of prayer that morning. If you would like to make your commitment electronically, please contact our Member Services Manager Natalie Barnes ([email protected]).

You have made Northminster a priority in your life, and I look forward building on that partnership with you. Thank you in advance for your support in 2021.

Peace, Patrick

  1. Patrick ~
I’ve begun thinking about what will be my particular commitment to doing “one activity that feeds my own soul and one that directly helps someone else.”
    Keep reminding us.
We are blessed to have you,
