Honduras Day 5
Greetings from Madison Cimperman and Andrew Mudd! I hope everything is going well in the States, but honestly we could care less because we are never coming back. There aren't any words to describe how great today was, like every other day. First, we woke up from our hammocks to the sounds of cows, birds, crickets, and horses, which is a lot more pleasing than it sounds. Breakfast was fantastic because not only was it good, but it was PANCAKES! After, we embarked on a tour of an elementary and middle school which opened our eyes to how different things can be. Of course, plenty of pictures were taken. The real fun started afterwards. We started off mixing cement or mezcla and laid it down to make floors. This was actually pretty fun considering that the language barrier is breaking down piece by piece. There were so many conversations that we could only pick one to share. This heart to heart was about how attractive they found Madison. The were finished quickly because they are some of the hardest and most patient workers we have ever seen. What really brightened up our day was playing with the children, but yes Andrew was their clear favorite. We played many games, colored, and laughed together. They enjoyed being taught Ultimate Frisbee the most and it seemed like half the village was playing. Well, we wish we could share everything but why would we if we could sing it to you later. See you soon! P.S Hondurans son muy guapos!
