Honduras Day 4
Hola! It's Alex Ussery and Rachel Taylor here! Last night we had a great sleepover in a hammock and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful sounds of Hondurian nature! Honduras is beautiful and the people here have the most kind souls. When we got to the village, the kids were there to greet us and they were so excited for VBS! We, and Sherri (mama goose), went to a house and helped them build a fire stove out of clay bricks. At the house we also got to witness a hen lay some eggs! Super cool!! Between all of us today, we built 3 pilas, the stove, and 3 cement floors were laid. After lunch, the two of us, Madison, Andrew Kneer, and Mama Goose went with the HOI pastor to do house visits. We visited 5 houses and each had a different story to tell. Listening to the stories, learning the culture, and connecting with the villagers was a major God sighting for us today. Everyone treats each other with such respect and they all truly care for each other. Tonight we're all planning on sleeping outside in the hammocks! We're so blessed to have such the opportunity and we cannot wait to see what's in store for us tomorrow!! Adios!
