Honduras Day 2
Greetings from Rancho Paraiso! Today the Honduras team traveled from our stay at Hotel Boqueron in Juticalpa to the HOI ranch we will be staying at this week. By far the highlight of the ranch has been the rows of hammocks to lounge in any down time, but that might just be Nick's opinion. Here's a word from one of the youth.
Hey, this is Andrew Kneer! So far this trip has been great! This morning we woke up in our hotel and were given a tour of Juticalpa, Olancho, Honduras. It was so much fun, but I'm not used to looking around and seeing Spanish written all around us. After a long and very bumpy bus ride on a road that wasn't paved, we arrived at Rancho Paraiso. When we got here, we were showed our dorm, and then had free time until three o'clock. At three o'clock, we had orientation with Señor Carlos, our "hombre." We went over the rules of the ranch, which is absolutely beautiful. I can't comprehend how breathtakingly gorgeous this country is. Tomorrow morning we are starting our day with milking cows, if we want to. After that, at 6:20, we're having breakfast. Then we're getting to go the village we'll be working in for the next week! I can't wait to see the village and help the 59 "familias" that live there!
